D-day? For what?
It is for starting my studying, 2-year master degree program on TESL. Finally, the chance came to me for defeating English. :) This is my wish.
The way of my speaking and writing is very awkward and foreign. I realized that a native speaks very differently. Someone says that it is because they use a lot of idioms that we never learn from the formal textbooks. Someone points out that parts of our brains charging of a language get used to the way of Korean language that the consequence (after translating to English) always comes out unnaturally. Others could come up with very likely diagnosis. After all, they are all true. It is from all multiple causes.
In my case, I'd like to more spend time on perfecting idioms commonly used in everyday conversation, verbs that are used not like we were taught, and familiarity with switching into English structure in different orders from ours.
Then, how come?.......... Who know that 100%?
However, according my experience, reading is best way to correct those inabilities. Throughout 2 years, I strive to have, at least, polished manner of speaking.
