A creepy week

To improve proficient speaking skill, I have a couple of friends to see at least onece a week. Most Friday mornings are set up to see Sheily at her house. That Friday, it was just usual Friday, exciting with the weekend coming close. Being out of gas, I dropped by the gas station on the way to hers. Hopping out of my car and swiping my Debt card at the pump, I pushed the gas door, touching it lightly to get it open. As it swung open, I put out my hand, unconsciously, to spin the gas cap. On the instant I could not help to pull my hand back because I felt like I glanced at something in there.

"Gee....What the heck is that?" I jumped off my car and nearly fell down. A little later on- maybe 5 seconds- I walked up to my car again, bending forward my body to take a close look at it. It was a small brown wallet for men. I paused a while to think what to do next. There, however, didn't seem to be any option but draw it out because it was stuck in over the gas cap: I need gas. While gas was going into my gas tank, I digged into the wallet and found it had a drive licence of Iillonis and a credit card that was apparently the drive licence owner's.

"A muder case?" This was what first flashed on my head. "No. No. It is absolutely a lost wallet that happen all the time" shook my head as hard as I could as if I whisked off my wrong vision. "Let's just calm down. It is nothing but a missing wallet." However, it sent shiver down my spine.

Sheily and I reported it to the police and heard that there was no loss report from the person of the drive licence. After I got a call from the police, I brought the police the wallet to wash my hands out of it. At the window, I heard that they found the owner, called him, and he was coming to the police to get it back to him. It was a very good news because it turned out to be no longer a homicide. Was I overacting? No...I wan't. I was scared that much.

But, something is still mysterious. Who squeezed it in there and why? Why in my car? Huh? Anyway, that person might have no intention to scare me. He/she just needed a little space to throw it in without any sinister motive. Unfortunately, he/she simply picked out my car for hiding place. It was just an isolated incident. That is it. This is what I want to believe. Just in case, however, be vigilant for a while.

Summer programs in the UV center - what fun

When we decided to move in this apartment last fall, everybody was worried about our lives in a strange place. A year has already passed since moving in, and how has it come out? My answer is I am very happy with my life in Fort Collins. Who don't know living in a small community means a lot? However, I am so positive there is more than you think.

The University Village, one of student off-campus residences at CSU, brings us a lot of convenience and fun. No worry about paying power, gas, or electricity because the rent includes them all. Immediate maintenance servies when I am in need. Kindly and nice staffs who take care of us and our kids. Above all, summer programs for kids is best I love. During whole summer, the UVoffice has provided with lots of fun activites and entertainments for their customers. Judy had been to a beads program to make a necklace, a ring, and a bracelet using various kind of beads. She had fun and some girlish stuff that she loves most. A sleep- over program at the UV center is waiting for this Friday to arrive soon. I will send my son out there for a night fun. I wouldn't say they are way fantastic or awesome, but where would I am able to get these services, if I didn't pick up this bargain(the UV).

Most of program coordinators are CSU students, I guess, because they look young. All (or some) of them are the UV residents like us. They are called resident coordinators who plan some events in advance and take care of them on time. Aren't they cool? I never thank them for what they've done for us, but I am really appreciative.

Gardening

Gardening is not an unusual thing to do in the United States, for most of them have more chances for it than us because of some spaces (a front/back-yard) in their houses. In our apartment, there is a competition for gardening once a year, in August. A first place winner will get some prizes. A mother of My son's friend was said to be awarded last year. When talking about it to me this spring, my son wanted to participate in this year gardening competition. As I didn't say anything, he complained a lot about his wreched life, no fulling of gardening. I just ignored it because it was clear I wasn't capable of growing some flowers.

Sheily, my helpful friend, hooked me up to Carolyn for talking mates two week before today. Carolyn and I have browsed around any topics for fun and had much fun together, and, by good fortune, she likes talking. Somehow, I got to know Carolyn is such a devoting gardner, spending days taking care of her flowers and vegetables in the back yard. One of her friends initiated her to the world of gardening two years ago. She has done pretty well with growing ever since starting her gardening. Some have grown big and tall looking great, and others haven't gone through quite well. Back to my son's wish, one day we met, I asked her for advice or recommendation of what plants we could put on the ground at the small front yard of our house. It is summer time when I am much more available than ever, and if I miss this time, I bet I am not ganna grow anything ever. Most of all, I don't want to look at him in disappointment.

Kindly, after we discussed it, she brought us some of her flowers from her garden: three cosmos, a sun flower, and more(I don't know thier names. Their names were unfamiliar and difficult to remember). It was nice of her to get us some chances to grow them. I am going to move each of them to a big pot together with some soils and composers that she picked up for us. She is delicate enough that she didn't forget to bring a pebble to block a hole of the pot. In a hot day, water dries up quickly so this little rock keeps water from draining so fast, and as a result, it helps the plants to absorb water. I can't wait to see they bloom. Sooner or later, I will post thier pictures here.
